Hélèna Katz
Hélèna Katz’s interest in writing began when she picked up her first newspaper
at the age of 18 months. It took a bit longer for her to master the craft of delivering clear,
concise and compelling copy on deadline for such clients as Canadian Geographic, the
Canadian Interventional Radiology Association and the Town of Fort Smith.
She has been freelancing for magazines, newspapers and corporate clients since 1993. Not wanting
her Master's degree in Criminology to go to waste, she has also published two non-fiction crime
books: Gang Wars: Blood and Guts on the Streets of Early New York and the Canadian
bestseller The Mad Trapper: The Incredible Tale of a Famous Canadian Manhunt.
